VENDOR INFORMATION & GUIDELINES
Event Days & Hours: Saturday, March 29th, 10am to 7pm & Sunday, March 30th, 10am to 6pm
Please be prepared to remain until 8pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday, to maintain the best
appearance of this show and to avoid disturbing other participants and attendees.
Set Up Time: 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, March 28th.
Take Down: Sunday, March 30th, 6:00pm until 7:00pm.
Location:
North Expo Building, Expo Idaho, 5610 Glenwood, Boise, ID. There is a utility road for
unloading along the north (far end) of the building. It is accessed through a gate to the left when
driving toward the race track. The gate keeper can give you further directions. You will not need a
pass to set up on Friday evening. A parking pass is needed, however, to park in the back of the Expo
buildings. Expo Idaho grants less than one parking pass per booth when multiple venues are going on,
due to lack of parking spaces available. So, unless you have things to pack into the building on
Saturday, or have other needs, please plan to park in the main / common parking lot. Note: An antique
show will be going on again in the South Expo building this same weekend, perhaps helping draw
more people to our show, too.
Booths:
Please try to man your space at all times during show hours with at least one person.
Sharing:
Maximum of two different businesses are allowed per 10'x10' space, upon approval of
faire organizer. 6'x5' spaces are for
one
person or business only, no sharing.
Please keep all personnel and display items, including signs, within the boundaries of your assigned
space and refrain from infringing into 10' fire exit corridors or aisles. Vendors are responsible for the
removal of stickers, tape, signs, posters, buttons and balloons (
no helium balloons allowed)
at the
end of the show. Please be considerate of your neighbors and other participants. Let's continue to
make this the biggest and best holistic faire Boise has ever had!
Note to Healers, Psychics, Massage Therapists, etc.:
Rather than limit the number of similar
therapies participating and in an effort to discourage competition, please consider a minimum charge
of $20 for 20 minutes for your services, or $1/minute.
Tables
available (4' included in 6'x5' spaces) are 6' or 8' banquet tables and are plain (no draping).
Please cover your table run and creatively, while hiding all boxes and miscellaneous not on display.
Pipe & Draping
will be provided for 10'x10' spaces only, by Tates Party Rentals. The rear draping is
8' tall. The two sides are 3' tall. The front is open. Draping wll likely be white or cream colored, with
some navy blue panels. 'S' hooks are provided for hanging banners and are available at the promoter's
center island, near the entry.
Please note:
6'x5' spaces are
open
, without draping, curtains or barriers.
Electricity:
If you will be using electricity, bring an extension cord and also a mat or carpet to cover it.
Safety / Fire Regulations:
Open flames or smoke emitting materials are prohibited, including candles.
All aisles and entrance doors must remain clear of displays, merchandise or signage. Helium balloons
are prohibited; they may rise to the high celing and are difficult to remove.
Sales Tax:
Idaho sales taxes are the responsibility of the vendor. Retailers are required to collect 6%
Idaho sales tax on each retail sale that is not exempt from tax. A Temporary Seller's Permit is required
for retail sales, unless you already have an active Idaho Seller's Permit. Form
ST-124 - Idaho Sales
Tax Declaration - Promoter Sponsored Event
is available at the local State Tax Commission
office 334-7660 or from the faire organizer.
Supplements, Nutritionals and other Consumables:
According to the Central District Health Dept.,
In order to sell or give away any food or beverage product at an event - and this includes anything
consumable, supplements, nutritional drinks, or even bottled water - you are required to apply for a
Temporary Food Establishment License.
The application must be submitted at least 15 days prior
to the event. The permit will be issued at the event after a passing inspection has been completed.
If you need more information, please call CDHD at 375-5211 or go to: www.cdhd.idaho.gov.
Expo Idaho also requires a one page form to be filled out only by vendors giving out samples:
Request for Food Items
. Expo's main concern is that no food be sold that would be in competition
with Premier Catering, the only entity allowed to sell food at events there. Expo also states: "Because
of the obvious health issues, we cannot allow any unwrapped food or candy to be given away or sold.
Sanitary measures must be taken, such as wrapped candies and samples given out in individual cups
or through the use of toothpicks." Please complete all applications necessary, as promoter must
provide a List of Vendors at least 15 days prior to the faire to both Expo Idaho and CDHD.
Security:
The building will be locked from 7pm Friday night until 8am Saturday morning and from
8pm Saturday night until 9am Sunday morning.
Advertising:
